Since the last loft list the pigeons are being flagged and tossed daily from short distances in small groups. They are flying well and are learning to cope with hawk attacks with experience and as they gain fitness. The very high temperatures have cooled with the recent rains we have received. Central to Southern Africa, including the whole of Zimbabwe is in the midst of a devastating drought which will make racing difficult. Please remember your planning for breeding for the next intake when our quarantine site will be open from 1 October 2024 to 31 January 2025. It is better to send pigeons that are not too old because of the chance of them not settling.

Please also remember to pay the perch fee for all pigeons completing quarantine. The amount is shown on your account which must be settled in full before any of your birds can take part in the race series for US$ 1,25 million.
