The basketing for the Victoria Falls Final Race is complete with 2271 pigeons basketed - https://www.victoriafallswcpr.com/results.php?opt=5&id=598

The pigeons are in excellent condition and ready for the race on Friday. The final leg of Super Ace, Knock Out, Team and Grand Average competitions as well as the results of the Final will be decided on Friday.

The current weather forecast is showing a headwind to start which will not be strong. Up to about halfway there is expected to be a moderate South East wind which will give the birds some assistance. The last half of the route is showing a North East wind of up to 17 km per hour. This is a direct side wind and with a rising temperature to about 27 degrees Celsius, the final stretch will be more difficult. At this stage we predict a 7.5 to 8 hour flight for the winning pigeon.
