There will be very few changes to the terms and conditions for the 2022 intake. The race programme and prize money will be similar.

In order to plan breeding for Victoria Falls 2022 intake for 2023 Yearling series please note the following:

Agent shipping dates to Zimbabwe. Only 4 shipments:

Shipment 1        15^th to 18^th  August 2022

Shipment 2        12^th to 15^th September 2022

Shipment 3        10^th to 13^th October 2022

Shipment 4        7^th to 10^th November 2022

You will need to contact your respective agents who will generally receive the birds approximately 30 days before these dates.

In the case of pigeons to be shipped by Animals to Fly, our Agents will deliver the birds to DQVS during the following dates;

Intakes to DQVS by Agents:

Intake 1              18^th to 20^th July 2022

Intake 2              15^th to 17^th Aug 2022

Intake 3              12^th to 14^th Sep 2022

Intake 4              10^th to 12^th Oct 2022

Please note that it is vital to vaccinate pigeons at approximately 21 days old for PMV and to ship at about 45 days old to the agent. This will give time to build some immunity before mixing with other birds.

Some agents give booster vaccinations as do we when pigeons arrive in Zimbabwe. Despite this we have had a 6.2% mortality during the quarantine period. The majority of deaths are from PMV which is largely avoidable with proper vaccination.
