Invited Donated Birds - 2020 Season

DISTRIBUTION OF INVITED DONATED BIRDS AND OTHER FOR SALE PIGEONS

We are pleased to announce that we have had an overwhelming response from people wanting to purchase Invited Donated birds to participate in the race series.

One of the main purposes in having donated birds is to raise money for the Victoria Falls Wildlife Trust. Funds are desperately needed to ensure our wildlife is protected and every dollar helps. We raise money for them from donations received in the Venture Racers scheme and from some of the sale proceeds of winning Venture pigeons. We are extremely grateful for the donations and want to thank the Donors for their kind gesture. The pigeons come from some of the most famous fanciers in the world and are of a high standard. The breeders of donated pigeons are listed below in no particular order.

To ensure we maximise the opportunity through the Venture Racer scheme for the Victoria Falls Wildlife Trust and to be fair to all wanting these pigeons we have implemented the following;

1. Any person may request to purchase any number of invited Donated pigeons from those available (those that say “Donor..” in the name of the For Sale bird).
2. There will be only one request accepted per bird from each person.
3. Requests must be made by email to admin@victoriafallswcpr.com
4. Email offers must be received before 12 noon CAT on Tuesday 16^th June stating the pigeon number and the amount offered for it in USD. This information will remain confidential and not divulged to anyone until announced.
5. The minimum amount is USD 950. All money over and above the entry fee of USD 950 will accrue to Victoria Falls Wildlife Trust as a donation.
6. The successful purchaser will be the person who made the highest offer for a bird and will be required to pay within 24 hours of notification. Race accounts will be automatically debited if there are sufficient funds. If funds are not received the bird will go to the next highest purchase offer.
7. The successful purchaser will be shown on the website on the basketing list for Hotspot 1 (scheduled for 20^th June). Any person may enquire as to the amount donated to the Wildlife Trust for a particular bird by sending an email to admin@victoriafallswcpr.com
8. Donor pigeons are sold without reserves, however if one of these pigeons is lost before the basketing for Hotspot 3 the purchaser may select any other “For Sale” bird from those available at no additional cost. If none are available, then a credit will be given for use on other activations or bonus races (pooling) or carried over for use the next year. The credit will be limited to the activation fee of USD 950 and will not include the amount donated. There are no replacements or credits offered for losses after the basketing for Hotspot 3 (317km).
9. Any Donor pigeons not bought with the additional donation will be offered for sale as per the terms outlined in point 10 below.
10. All pigeons that are marked “For Sale” which are not “Donor” birds are available from now at USD 950 each on a first come first served basis. This must be booked by email to admin@victoriafallswcpr.com and once confirmed must be paid for within 24 hours. Unfortunately, there are no reserves offered as we have insufficient numbers to satisfy the demand. If the selected pigeon is lost before the basketing for Hotspot 3 the purchaser may select any other “For Sale” bird from those available at no additional cost. If none are available, then a credit will be given for use on other activations or bonus races (pooling) or carried over for use the next year.
11. Any For Sale pigeon purchased after Hotspot 3 (317km) is sold without reserves and no credit or replacements are offered if lost.
12. We give no guarantee of the ability of any of these pigeons to perform well, or survive the race series, and by making a purchase the buyer acknowledges and accepts this.
