For Sale birds & after race auction - Yearling Series 2018-06-01
We are staging race number 5 and our first Hotspot from 319 km (198 miles) tomorrow.
The inactivated (unpaid) pigeons “For Sale” have up to now had all details displayed for everyone to see. After Hotspot 1 the bird names and breeders will be hidden and only the ring numbers shown. After Hotspot 2 (Race 7) on 16 June, the ring numbers will also be hidden, and details of the unpaid pigeons will not be visible except for their performance from then. A code number will replace the ring number which will identify the pigeon to the organisers and birds can still be bought at this stage based on performance. If any pigeon with hidden details is paid for (activated) the details will then be displayed again.
Approximately 50 winning pigeons, 10 ACE birds and 10 Best Overall birds will be auctioned by PIPA after the Final Race being held on 30 June 2018. Pigeons that are not selected for sale can be taken for free by the breeders. This is provided that they were activated for the race and the breeders pay the shipping and quarantine costs. This also is dependent on the final destination and if veterinary and flight restrictions do not inhibit the export. Please remember that in order to receive any proceeds from the sale pigeons must have pedigrees.
We wish all participants the best of luck in this weekend’s Hotspot!
