The pigeons at Victoria Falls are exercising well, climbing high and ranging. Groups are being sighted during their daily exercise a few kilometers from the loft. The daytime temperatures are still very high, around 35 degrees Celsius. We will start road training as soon as the weather cools off a bit.

The terms and conditions for this years’ new intake for the 2020 race season will have some changes which will be published after the final race this season.

In summary the main changes are as follows;

• The entry fee per pigeon for 10 or more pigeons all paid for on time will be $850 per bird with no reserves but lost birds will earn a credit for the following year, as per the existing terms.
• A team of 5 birds with partial activation will remain at $950 per activation.
• The final race will be from approximately 650 km (400 miles).
• The final will take place on Friday 7^th of August 2020.
• Best overall pigeon will be calculated on all training tosses and races over 100km.
• A team competition will be introduced.
• A knock-out competition will be introduced.

For the 2020 season the Intake to DQVS in Amsterdam (through respective agents in Europe) is as follows;

• 11^th & 12^th July 2019                      
• 8^th & 9^th August 2019                     
• 12^th & 13^th September 2019
• 26^th & 27^th October 2019 at Kassel Show or 28^th direct to DQVS

The current years’ intake was nearly 4000 pigeons. Our current capacity without any modifications to the loft is 5000 pigeons. Please note that VFWCPR reserves the right to reduce or cancel the last intake if the loft capacity is going to be exceeded.

For breeding purposes in all countries, the dates are approximately the same so as to suit the intakes into DQVS. Please contact your respective agent in your country for exact details;
