The yearling program is progressing well with good returns so far. We have had 7 flights at 103 km, 1 race from 149 km and 1 race from 205 km with 86% clocked within 15 minutes of 1st bird and 98% clocked.

We started with 765 at the first live training flight and 721 remain (6% loss). The degree of difficulty will increase as the distance increases with a 249 km race tomorrow.

We are pleased to say that 375 birds are currently activated in this Yearling Series! This means that the prize money payout will be extended up to 97th place in the Final Race! Any pigeons clocked in the 1st 97 birds will at least earn the entrance fee back. This will continue to increase as more birds are activated as per the terms; Guaranteed minimum prize money payout - US$100 000 total based on 200 paid entries at US$500 each. Every paid entry after 200 birds adds US$250 to total prize money payout. This extra prize money will be for 11th position onward in the Final Race at US$500 per place (so an additional position will be paid at US$500 for every 2 extra paid birds over 200 birds)

The window of opportunity to follow the performance of fancier’s own pigeons which have not been paid and activated will be coming to an end shortly. We will be hiding the details of all un-activated pigeons and only keep the paid pigeons visible. Please activate pigeons as soon as possible if you want to follow the performance to the end.

One will still be able to see the performance of un-activated birds but the breeder and ring number will be hidden. Anyone will still be able to activate these birds based on performance but the details of breeders and ring numbers will only be shown again if the activation fee is paid.

Pigeons bred by WCS are offered to anyone who pays the activation fee where upon all rights, including the breeders share of sale proceeds will be passed on to the activator.

Permits to import pigeons for the 2019 race series have been received and despatched to the various shippers. Our intake is from now until September with deliveries to shippers in the first week of each month.

We wish you luck in the second race in the ACE bird competition tomorrow!
